Lovefilm reaches 2 million subscribers
Lovefilm, the leading European film subscription service, today announced that it has reached 2 million subscribers. The company also revealed a new unlimited fim streaming package called LoveFilm Instant which offers users access to films and TV shows for only £4.99 per month.
Lovefilm has become of the leading forces in online movies with an established base of users in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
The company was aquired by Amazon in Feburary 2011 and offers a choice of subscribription options involving both streaming movies and TV, alongisde a DVD and Blueray by post service.
The service is available on almost all Internet-enabled devices including PCs, PlayStation3, iPad, Xbox 360, plus a growing number of Blu-Ray players and Internet-connected TVs.

Netflix arrives in the UK!
Netflix, the hugely succesful internet subscription service for movies and TV shows in the United States and Canada has finally arrived in the UK and Ireland.
The service launches at an initial price of £5.99 per month, and just like Lovefilm, offers one month free trial so that users do not have to commit before giving the service a test run.
Netflix has than 20 million members, most of whom are based in the United States and Canada, and claims to be the world's leading Internet subscription service for enjoying movies and TV shows.
